Toto is a Grammy Award-winning rock Group that was Made in Los Angeles from David Paich, Steve Lukather, Bobby Kimball, brothers Jeff Porcaro and Steve Porcaro, along with David Hungate. Composed of experienced studio musicians, Toto appeared to come from nowhere. Prior to being signed by a label, because almost all bands do, they didn’t get known on the club circuit. Their reputations at the studio proved enough. As an Example, Hungate Paich and Jeff Porcaro wrote songs for and played Boz Scaggs’ record Silk Degrees. Toto launched its debut record Toto in October 1978, selling two million copies predicated in the top ten.
The subsequent two records Hydra and Turn Back’d small success, however Toto IV (published in 1982) featured the number one hit Africa in addition to the top ten sole Rosanna. In 1990, Williams was replaced by Jean-Michel Byron to the records on Past to Present 1977-1990 left getting the team’s lead singer. After completing work on the Kingdom of 22, Jeff Porcaro died days, of a heart attack. Disbanding was believed by the group, before adding drummer Simon Phillips. In recent years because of Porcaro’s passing, Lukather has succeeded Paich since the de facto leader of the band. Following a 15-year lack, Bobby Kimball returned to the lineup in 1999. On April 5th, 2008, Toto played would be their very last show in Seoul, Korea, as part of the Falling In Between excursion. This left a lot of fans with no farewell tour.
